Mamahood (Pty) Ltd

Effective date: 14 October 2026

This Advertising Policy governs recurring advertising services provided by Mamahood (Pty) Ltd.

It should be read together with the advertising information confirmed when you subscribe, including your Advertising Plan, Billing Cycle, advertising fee and Billing Arrangement.

How do I accept this Policy?

When you submit your advertising registration, accept this Advertising Policy and provide your electronic signature, you agree to be bound by this Policy.

If you accept this Policy on behalf of a company, organisation or other business, you confirm that you have authority to do so.

The Policy in effect when you subscribe, together with your registration information and electronic acceptance, may be retained by Mamahood as part of the record of your Advertising Agreement.

By subscribing, you expressly request and consent to Mamahood beginning your advertising service immediately when your registration is activated.

What do some of the terms in this Policy mean?

Advertiser means the business or person registered for Mamahood advertising.

Advertising Plan means the advertising service selected, currently You Advertise or We Advertise.

Billing Cycle means how often your recurring advertising is billed, either Monthly or Annual.

Billing Arrangement means the method or arrangement through which your account is paid or classified.

Invoice Date means the date on which your recurring advertising invoice is issued.

Payment Collection Date means the date on which Mamahood attempts to collect payment. This may be different from your Invoice Date.

Working Day means a day other than a Saturday, Sunday or South African public holiday.

1. Subscription & Billing

How does my Mamahood advertising subscription work?

Mamahood currently offers two Advertising Plans:

You Advertise — you manage and post your own advertising in Mamahood groups.

We Advertise — you provide your advertising content and Mamahood manages the scheduled sharing of that content for you.

Your Advertising Plan, Billing Cycle and Billing Arrangement are separate parts of your account.

Your Billing Cycle may be Monthly or Annual and tells you how often your recurring advertising is billed.

Mamahood advertising is an ongoing subscription and continues until it is cancelled in accordance with this Policy or ended by Mamahood in accordance with this Policy.

Your Billing Arrangement determines how payment is collected. Depending on your account, this may include PayFast card collection or Netcash debit-order collection.

When does my advertising service start?

Your advertising service begins when Mamahood activates your registration. For a valid completed registration, activation is intended to occur immediately after submission.

By subscribing, you expressly request and consent to Mamahood beginning the advertising service immediately on activation.

Your registration may still be reviewed after activation. Mamahood may suspend, restrict or end advertising where the account does not meet the eligibility, payment, mandate, business or advertising requirements in this Policy.

How is my advertising fee decided?

You pay the advertising fee agreed when you subscribe or subsequently confirmed to you by Mamahood.

Not every advertiser necessarily pays the same fee. Mamahood may have standard, promotional, legacy or individually agreed advertising fees.

If you previously advertised with Mamahood and later subscribe again at a different fee, the new agreed fee applies to your advertising going forward. Older unpaid invoices remain recorded at the amounts at which they were originally issued.

When am I invoiced and when is payment collected?

Your Invoice Date and Payment Collection Date are not always the same.

Where payment is collected through PayFast, payment will normally be collected according to the billing schedule for your account.

Where payment is collected by Netcash debit order, your invoice is issued according to your billing schedule, but debit orders are normally collected on the last working day of the month.

For example, if your Invoice Date is the 18th, your invoice may be issued on the 18th while your debit order is only collected on the last working day of that month.

The later collection date does not change the Billing Cycle covered by the invoice.

An invoice that has been validly issued and is waiting for its normal Payment Collection Date is not automatically overdue.

Why do I need to provide banking details if I pay through PayFast?

Banking details and a debit-order mandate are required when you register for recurring Mamahood advertising, even where PayFast will initially be used to collect your advertising fee.

Recurring card payments may become unavailable because a card expires or changes, a virtual card becomes invalid, a payment is declined, or the PayFast recurring instruction is cancelled or becomes inactive.

The debit-order mandate provided at signup allows Mamahood to move payment collection to Netcash where necessary without requiring a new Advertising Agreement.

What happens if my PayFast payment fails or I cancel my PayFast recurring payment?

If your PayFast recurring payment fails, expires, is declined, becomes inactive, is cancelled or otherwise becomes unavailable, Mamahood may change your Billing Arrangement to Netcash debit order and collect amounts properly due under the debit-order mandate provided when you subscribed.

Changing the collection method does not by itself change your Advertising Plan, Billing Cycle, advertising fee or existing payment obligations.

Cancelling or stopping your PayFast recurring payment instruction does not cancel your Mamahood advertising.

To cancel your advertising, you must follow the cancellation process in Section 4.

Debit Order Authority and Mandate

This Debit Order Authority and Mandate forms part of your Advertising Agreement with Mamahood.

By accepting this Advertising Policy and providing your electronic signature during registration, you give Mamahood the following authority and mandate:

I authorise Mamahood to issue payment instructions to my bank for collection from the bank account specified by me, provided that the total amount does not exceed my obligations as outlined in the Advertising Agreement, including any applicable additional fees.

I acknowledge that all payment instructions issued by Mamahood will be treated by my bank as if I issued them personally.

I understand that stopping or reversing a Netcash debit order does not cancel my Advertising Agreement with Mamahood, and I will not be entitled to a refund for amounts withdrawn while this authority was active where those amounts were legally owed.

I confirm that all banking information provided is accurate and that I have the legal authority to authorise the necessary payment instructions from this account.

I understand that withdrawals will be processed through a computerised system provided by South African banks.

If I wish to cancel my Mamahood advertising, I must follow the cancellation process set out in Section 4 of this Policy.

I agree to the terms stated in this Policy and confirm this Debit Order Authority and Mandate by my electronic signature.

What happens if my debit order is unsuccessful?

If your debit order is returned unpaid because there were insufficient funds in your bank account, the unpaid advertising fee remains due.

There are no penalty fees for unsuccessful debit orders caused by insufficient funds.

The unpaid amount will be carried forward and may be collected together with your next scheduled advertising payment. Your next collection may therefore include the previous unpaid amount and your current advertising fee.

What happens if I have older unpaid invoices on my account?

Unpaid advertising invoices remain payable unless Mamahood has agreed otherwise in writing.

Starting a new advertising subscription does not cancel or remove unpaid invoices from a previous advertising period.

Payments received will generally be allocated to the oldest unpaid invoice first.

If you return to Mamahood and subscribe at a different advertising fee, your normal recurring collection will be based on the current fee agreed for your new subscription.

Mamahood does not automatically increase your normal recurring collection to recover all accumulated historical invoices at once. Older unpaid balances remain due on your account.

What happens if I intentionally stop or reverse a debit order?

If you intentionally stop or reverse a valid debit order for an amount properly due to Mamahood, Mamahood will treat this as a breach of your Advertising Agreement.

A R120 stopped-payment fee will be added to your account.

Your advertiser status will be suspended immediately, your advertising access will stop and Mamahood may remove you from Mamahood Facebook groups.

While your account is suspended because of a stopped or reversed payment, no new advertising invoices will be created. Mamahood will only pursue or collect the balance already due on your account, including the applicable stopped-payment fee.

Stopping or reversing a debit order does not cancel your Advertising Agreement.

Once the outstanding balance has been paid, Mamahood will normally reactivate your advertiser status. If you were removed from Mamahood groups, you may then be permitted to rejoin the relevant groups, and normal recurring invoicing will resume from reactivation.

If you wish to cancel instead, you must follow the cancellation process in Section 4.

Are advertising fees refundable?

Advertising fees are not automatically refundable merely because you later change your mind, decide you no longer wish to advertise, change your Advertising Plan or cancel your advertising.

Once Mamahood has begun providing your advertising service, cancelling because you have changed your mind or no longer wish to advertise does not create an automatic right to a refund.

An invoice that has already been validly issued is not automatically cancelled or refundable because you subsequently cancel.

Plan changes are not prorated, and failure to use advertising access that was available to you does not reduce the agreed advertising fee.

Nothing in this Policy limits any cancellation, refund or other right that applies to you by law.

Where Mamahood agrees a different billing or payment arrangement with you in writing, that specific written arrangement applies to the extent that it differs from the standard billing provisions in this Policy.

2. Advertising & Posting

How does You Advertise work?

If you subscribe to You Advertise, you may post advertising for your registered business in the Mamahood groups available to you.

Your advertising must comply with this Policy, the rules of the relevant Mamahood group and any current advertising guidance provided by Mamahood.

There is no fixed contractual number of posts included in your subscription. Mamahood may, however, manage the timing and spacing of advertising where necessary to prevent one business from dominating a group feed.

How does We Advertise work?

If you subscribe to We Advertise, you provide Mamahood with the advertising content you would like shared on your behalf.

Where your service includes one recurring advertising post, you may replace that content approximately once per week.

Where your service includes a rotation of up to five managed posts, the full set may be refreshed approximately once per month.

Small factual corrections, such as updated contact details, prices, dates or spelling errors, may be requested when necessary and do not count as a normal content refresh.

We Advertise is a managed posting service. It does not include full graphic design, copywriting, marketing strategy or creative production unless specifically agreed.

Mamahood may make minor spelling, formatting or wording adjustments where reasonably necessary.

A We Advertise subscriber may also post their own advertising, subject to the same posting rules as other advertisers.

How many people may advertise for my business?

Each advertising subscription may have a maximum of 3 approved posters.

All approved posters operate under the same business subscription. Having three approved posters does not give the business three separate advertising allowances or increase its advertising entitlement.

All posts from those approved posters are treated as advertising from the same subscribed business.

Mamahood must be provided with accurate Facebook profile information for each approved poster.

Can I advertise in all Mamahood groups?

In general, you may advertise in any Mamahood group that you are eligible to access, even where your advertising is not directly related to the theme of that group.

The main restriction is regional relevance.

If your business only operates in or serves a particular area, you may not advertise in a regional Mamahood group for an area that you do not serve.

A business that genuinely operates nationally or serves several regions may advertise in the applicable regional groups.

Mamahood South Africa is the only Mamahood group that allows men. All other Mamahood groups are women-only.

Male-owned businesses may still advertise in women-only groups through an eligible approved female poster.

How often may I advertise?

Mamahood does not impose a fixed contractual daily posting quota on You Advertise subscribers.

However, advertising access may not be used in a way that overwhelms or dominates a group.

Mamahood may manage or space posts where several posts from the same business are submitted close together, several approved posters are advertising the same business, or the volume of advertising is affecting the balance of the group.

Current practical posting recommendations are provided in Advertising Essentials.

How are advertising posts approved?

Advertising posts may be subject to admin approval.

Some Mamahood groups may allow advertiser pre-approval, while other groups operate through a managed advertising queue.

Pre-approval is not available in managed-queue groups. Posts in those groups are released according to the applicable queue and feed-management process.

Current information about which groups use managed queues, and how those queues operate, is provided in Advertising Essentials.

Mamahood may delay, space, decline or request changes to a post where reasonably necessary to manage advertising volume, prevent excessive repetition, apply this Policy or protect the usefulness of a group.

Can my posts be pre-approved?

Where pre-approval is available, Mamahood may allow an advertiser's posts to publish without individual admin approval. Without pre-approval, eligible advertisers may still submit posts for normal admin approval.

Pre-approval is a privilege rather than a permanent advertising right and may be removed where closer moderation becomes necessary or advertising rules are not followed.

Can Mamahood remove an advertising post?

Yes.

Mamahood may decline, remove, limit or require changes to advertising that breaches this Policy or group rules, is misleading or unlawful, may reasonably cause harm, repeatedly duplicates substantially the same content, abuses advertising access or creates a reasonable moderation or community-safety concern.

Removal of an individual post does not automatically cancel your Advertising Agreement. Repeated or serious breaches may lead to suspension or termination.

Who is responsible for my advertising content?

You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the advertising content supplied or posted for your business, including your prices, claims, offers, contact details and the terms attached to your promotions.

You must have the necessary rights, permissions or licences to use photographs, graphics, logos, written content, video, music, trademarks or other material included in your advertising.

By providing content to Mamahood for posting, you give Mamahood permission to reproduce, format and publish that content as reasonably necessary to provide your advertising service.

Can I advertise a giveaway or competition?

Yes. You may advertise a giveaway or competition being run by your own business.

The giveaway or competition must be managed entirely by your business. Mamahood does not administer entries, answer competition questions, check eligibility, select winners, deliver prizes or resolve disputes relating to an advertiser's giveaway or competition.

Your post must clearly explain the applicable terms, including where relevant the entry requirements, eligibility requirements, closing date, how the winner will be selected and how or when the winner will be announced or contacted.

The advertiser is responsible for ensuring that the giveaway or competition complies with applicable law.

Questions about the giveaway or competition must be directed to the business running it, not Mamahood.

Where can I find the day-to-day advertising instructions?

Current practical information such as recommended posting frequency, admin approval times, managed-queue information and posting guidance is provided in Advertising Essentials.

Advertising Essentials explains how to use your advertising access. This Policy contains the contractual rules governing the service.

3. Plan Changes & Holds

Can I change my Advertising Plan?

Yes. You may request to change between You Advertise and We Advertise.

Submitting a request does not mean that the change has already been completed.

Mamahood will process your request and confirm your updated Advertising Plan and advertising fee.

Your new advertising service applies once the change has been processed, while your new advertising fee applies from your next Billing Cycle.

If an invoice has already been issued for the current Billing Cycle, that invoice remains payable at the fee at which it was issued.

Plan changes are not prorated.

What happens to a promotional or legacy fee if I change plans?

If your current advertising fee includes an existing promotional or legacy percentage arrangement, Mamahood will take that pricing arrangement into account when calculating the fee for your new Advertising Plan.

Changing plans does not automatically mean that an existing legitimate promotional pricing arrangement is lost.

Mamahood will confirm the new applicable fee when your plan change is processed.

Can I put my advertising on hold?

Yes. You may request a hold for 1, 2 or 3 months.

The maximum hold is 3 months.

A hold temporarily pauses your advertising. It does not cancel your subscription.

Your advertising automatically reactivates when the approved hold ends.

A hold cannot be extended or chained consecutively to create an ongoing pause.

When does a Monthly hold start?

If you are on a Monthly Billing Cycle, your hold starts from your next Invoice Date once Mamahood has processed and scheduled the hold.

It does not normally take effect in the middle of a Billing Cycle that has already started.

Until the scheduled hold starts, your advertising remains active.

What happens if my invoice has already been issued when I request a hold?

If an invoice for your current Billing Cycle has already been issued before the hold begins, that invoice remains payable.

A hold does not retrospectively cancel or reduce an already-issued invoice.

If you pay by Netcash, the payment may therefore still be collected on the normal Payment Collection Date.

That payment relates to the current Billing Cycle before your hold and is not payment for the hold period.

Once the hold actually starts, no new subscription invoices are created during the hold.

How does a hold work on an Annual Billing Cycle?

If your annual advertising has already been paid and is active, a hold does not cause you to lose the advertising time you have purchased.

When the hold starts, your advertising pauses and the unused portion of your paid annual advertising is preserved.

Your paid-through date and next Annual Invoice Date will both move forward by the length of the hold.

For example, a three-month hold moves the next Annual Invoice Date forward by three months.

What happens to my Advertising Lab during a hold?

If your hold is scheduled for a future date, your Advertising Lab remains available until the hold starts.

Once the hold begins, advertising pauses and Advertising Lab access is temporarily locked.

Your Business Desk and Advertising Essentials may remain available.

When the hold ends, advertising and Advertising Lab access automatically return and normal billing resumes.

4. Cancellation

How do I cancel my advertising subscription?

To cancel recurring Mamahood advertising, you must submit the official Cancellation Request Form.

An email, WhatsApp message, Facebook message or other communication saying that you intend to cancel does not constitute a cancellation request and will not be processed as a cancellation.

If you contact Mamahood to say that you would like to cancel, we will direct you to the Cancellation Request Form so that the request can be formally submitted and recorded.

The form is publicly available and does not require you to log in to your Business Desk. The Cancel Advertising option inside the Business Desk links to the same official cancellation process.

Submitting the form means that Mamahood has received your cancellation request. It does not mean that the account change has already been completed.

When you submit the form, your request is recorded and you receive confirmation that it has been received. A cancellation PDF is also generated as a record of your request and the information submitted.

Once Mamahood has processed the request and issued final confirmation, future renewal is cancelled. This is separate from your last advertising day, which Mamahood confirms from the current service period. Advertising normally continues through that last day.

Please allow at least 1 working day for Mamahood to process a cancellation request.

Can I continue advertising after I cancel?

Yes. For both Monthly and Annual recurring advertising, processing your cancellation stops future renewal; it does not normally remove your advertising time for the current confirmed service period. Mamahood will confirm your last advertising day when processing your request, based on your account's actual billing, payments and any invoice already issued.

You may continue advertising in Mamahood groups and using Advertising Lab through the confirmed last advertising day. After that date, your advertising entitlement ends automatically. The account may show as Scheduled to End in the meantime. Already-issued invoices remain payable even if collection takes place after the cancellation request.

If you use You Advertise, your advertising remains subject to the usual Mamahood group rules and administrator approval through your confirmed last advertising day.

If you use We Advertise, the managed posting service continues through your final advertising day and stops when that period ends.

The same paid-through principle applies to both billing cycles. The particular Netcash late-batch exception is explained below. Any separate lawful suspension, exceptional early termination, refund or other rights under applicable law remain unaffected.

Can I cancel by stopping my payment?

No.

Stopping or cancelling a PayFast recurring payment instruction does not cancel your Mamahood advertising.

Stopping or reversing a Netcash debit order also does not cancel your Advertising Agreement.

You must use the official Cancellation Request Form.

What happens if my Monthly invoice has already been issued?

If your Monthly invoice has already been validly issued before your cancellation is processed, that invoice remains payable.

Cancellation does not retrospectively cancel, reverse or reduce an invoice that has already been issued for the current Billing Cycle.

This applies even if its Payment Collection Date falls after you submitted your cancellation request.

Does Annual billing work differently when I cancel?

The same rule applies to both billing cycles: cancellation stops future recurring renewal while you retain advertising through the confirmed final advertising day for the current service period.

For Annual advertising, an invoice already validly issued for the current annual cycle remains payable. No new recurring Annual invoice is created after the cancellation has been processed, but cancelling does not cancel an invoice that already exists. If your current annual period is already paid, you do not lose that advertising time.

What if my Annual invoice has already been issued but has not been paid?

If the Annual invoice was validly issued before your cancellation was processed, it remains payable.

Cancellation does not retrospectively cancel, reverse or reduce the Annual invoice.

Mamahood may continue to collect or recover the outstanding amount and may, at its discretion, collect the Annual invoice in one payment or in smaller amounts over more than one collection.

Each amount collected reduces the outstanding balance, and Mamahood will not collect more than the amount properly due.

Any collection remains subject to the applicable payment authority and payment-system requirements.

Cancellation prevents the next Annual Billing Cycle from being invoiced; it does not erase an invoice that has already been issued.

Will I receive a refund for unused Annual advertising?

Where Annual advertising has already been paid, cancelling does not normally result in a refund for unused advertising time.

Instead, your advertising remains available until your paid-through date.

This does not limit any refund or other right that applies by law.

What happens if I cancel a Monthly Netcash account near the end of the month?

You may submit a cancellation request at any time.

A special processing situation can apply only where you are on a Monthly Billing Cycle, pay by Netcash debit order, submit your cancellation between the 25th and the end of the month before that billing cycle's invoice has been generated, and Mamahood has already submitted the relevant debit-order batch.

If the invoice for that billing cycle has already been issued, it remains payable and the cancellation follows the normal Monthly cancellation path.

If the invoice has not yet been generated but the debit-order batch has already been submitted, the debit may still be collected.

You do not need to submit another cancellation request. Your original request remains valid.

Where that late-month exception applies, Mamahood will process the cancellation on the first working day of the following month, and your advertising remains active while the request is pending. The final advertising end date is confirmed separately from the current invoiced service period.

This exception does not automatically apply to every cancellation after the 25th, and it does not apply to PayFast or Annual accounts.

What happens to unpaid invoices when I cancel?

Cancellation does not remove amounts already properly due on your account.

This includes invoices already issued for a current Billing Cycle and older unpaid invoices.

Where you have more than one unpaid invoice, payments received will generally be allocated to the oldest unpaid invoice first.

Cancellation prevents future billing in accordance with this Policy; it does not write off an existing account balance.

Can I cancel while my account is suspended?

Yes.

Suspension and cancellation are different.

You may still submit the official Cancellation Request Form while your advertising is suspended.

Once processed, cancellation prevents future advertising billing, but it does not remove invoices, stopped-payment fees or other amounts already properly due.

5. Business & Advertising Rules

What business may I advertise?

Your subscription may be used to advertise the products and services of the business registered under that subscription.

It may not be used as general advertising access for other businesses.

Mamahood may ask for reasonable information where necessary to confirm the business being advertised or its eligibility.

Can one subscription cover more than one business?

No.

Each separate business requires its own Mamahood advertising subscription.

One Business Desk user may manage more than one business, but each business remains independently registered and subscribed.

What about branches, franchises, representatives and coaches?

Each branch, franchise, representative or coach advertising its own services, location or contact details is treated as a separate business for Mamahood advertising purposes.

Each therefore requires its own Mamahood advertising subscription, even where several operate under the same larger brand.

A head-office or brand subscription does not provide advertising access to all of its branches, franchises, representatives or coaches.

Can a marketing agency advertise for its clients?

A marketing or social-media agency may advertise its own agency business under its own subscription.

Where an agency advertises for a client, the client business must have its own active Mamahood advertising subscription, and the person posting must be one of that business's approved posters.

An agency subscription cannot be used to advertise multiple unsubscribed client businesses.

What about directories, marketplaces or multi-vendor businesses?

A directory, marketplace or multi-vendor business may advertise its own business or service under its subscription.

However, one subscription may not be used to provide separate advertising access to multiple independent businesses, sellers or vendors.

Where an individual business or vendor is being advertised as a business in its own right, that business requires its own Mamahood advertising subscription.

Can charities and non-profit organisations advertise?

Yes. Charities and non-profit organisations may advertise, subject to Mamahood's approval and normal advertising rules.

However, Mamahood advertising may not be used to ask members for donations or financial contributions.

Any special charity or non-profit advertising arrangement offered by Mamahood is discretionary and does not create a general entitlement to free or discounted advertising.

Can Mamahood refuse a business, product or service?

Yes.

Mamahood may decline or remove advertising where the business, product, service or advertising is unlawful, may reasonably cause harm, breaches applicable platform or community standards, creates a material community-safety concern or does not comply with this Policy.

What happens if my business is sold or changes ownership?

Your advertising subscription and Business Desk access may not simply be transferred to a new owner without notifying Mamahood.

If the business changes ownership and the new owner wishes to continue advertising, Mamahood must be informed and the new authorised owner must accept the applicable Advertising Policy before the account is transferred.

6. Advertising Lab & Access

What is the Advertising Lab?

The Advertising Lab is included with active Mamahood advertising and provides practical tools and guidance to help advertisers create and improve their advertising.

It is not a separate paid subscription.

When do I have access to the Advertising Lab?

Advertising Lab access is available while your advertising entitlement is active.

If a hold is scheduled, access remains available until the hold starts.

Lab access is locked while your advertising is On Hold or Suspended.

If Monthly or Annual advertising has been cancelled but entitled service time remains, Lab access continues until the confirmed advertising end date.

Lab access ends when your advertising is cancelled or otherwise ends.

Does using the Advertising Lab mean my post is approved?

No.

Advertising Lab tools, including Post Check, provide practical assistance but are not final advertising approval, legal review or a guarantee of compliance or advertising results.

You remain responsible for your advertising and compliance with this Policy and applicable law.

Does access to my Business Desk mean my advertising is active?

No.

Your Business Desk account and advertising entitlement are separate.

You may still be able to access your Business Desk or Advertising Essentials after a hold, suspension, cancellation or advertising end.

Being able to log in does not mean that advertising or Advertising Lab access remains active.
